Regulation on the Service Catalogue
I. Inclusion of Contributions pursuant to §2(2)
A contribution to the service catalogue pursuant to §2(2) must meet the following requirements:
- The contribution supports the consultation, provision, further development, and dissemination of knowledge, tools, and services that promote science and research at national and international levels, including the provision and curation of research data and metadata.
- The service is an existing and regularly usable offering.
- The service is committed to the principles of Open Science and is accessible and usable for all interested communities of the association, subject to authentication, authorization, and legal requirements where applicable.
- The service was developed within the context of DARIAH, CLARIN, OPERAS, or a comparable project (e.g. NFDI-funded projects) and has undergone qualitative evaluation; the responsible institution ensures its continued quality.
- The service is available for a minimum of one year; any discontinuation will be communicated to the association and known user institutions as early as possible, preferably six months in advance.
- The service is supported by a responsible provider team; availability is ensured independently of individual persons.
- Decisions on the inclusion and continuation of a contribution are made by the Coordination Council in accordance with the applicable regulations.
II. Ordinary Membership and Allocation of Contributions pursuant to §2(2)
- An ordinary member is responsible for at least one contribution in the service catalogue; the office maintains the allocation list.
- Contributions are assigned to the legal entity or association under which the provider team operates; if it is not a member, a natural person represents it as an ordinary member. Contributions from the same scope are generally represented by only one ordinary member.
- The Coordination Council decides on the allocation of contributions; in unclear cases, the Executive Board makes the final decision.
- Upon removal or reassignment of contributions, ordinary membership changes to extraordinary; if the represented legal entity becomes a member, it assumes ordinary membership and the previously representing natural person becomes an extraordinary member.
